Is Hillary Clinton Changing Her Vote?

She sure seems like a McCain supporter to me. Watch:

Clinton Administration Toast to Kim Jong Il

In light of President Bush’s speech on North Korea today, I thought I would remind the folks of another way of doing business with the North Koreans.

This is the text of a toast that then Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright made in 2000, to North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Il. It demonstrates the difference between the way a Republican and a Democrat would handle a rogue dictator with his eyes on a nuclear prize. I’m siding with the Right on this issue. (Shocking, I know)

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE Office of the Spokesman (Pyongyang,
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)
For Immediate Release October 23, 2000 As Delivered

Toast by Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright At Dinner

Hosted by Chairman Kim Jong Il Pyongyang, Democratic People’s
Republic of Korea
October 23, 2000

SECRETARY ALBRIGHT: Chairman Kim Jong Il, Vice Marshal Jo,
distinguished leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of
Korea
on behalf of the United States of America, I want to thank
you for your kindness and hospitality.
Vice Marshal Jo, we really enjoyed your visit earlier this month
to Washington and now you have made us feel very welcome, and we
appreciate it very much.

The exchange of letters and greetings between Chairman Kim Jong
Il and President Clinton, the exchange of visits by senior
officials from our respective lands, and our recent joint
communique could not have been imagined only a few years ago. We
do not move as rapidly as the performers in tonight’s wonderful
performance, but step by step we are moving toward a fundamental
improvement in our relationship. This will benefit all the people
of Korea and of the United States. I believe that our meetings
during these two days will help us to move further down the road
of cooperation.

Mr. Chairman, the process in which we are now
engaged is a process that your father President Kim Il-sung
helped to begin. It can lead to reconciliation and reunification
of the Peninsula and to more normal and prosperous relations
between your government and others in the region and the world.

This process will succeed if we all profit from the lessons of
the past and understand that confrontation is not the path to
progress in this new era. We each must meet our responsibilities
to eliminate threats, reduce tension, build confidence, and
expand ties. We each must strive to open new avenues of
communication, commerce and contacts. We must each do our part
if the Cold War is truly to end and along with it the divisions
that have caused such suffering to the people of Korea.

There is a great distance between our two lands, but as we are
starting to discover through our visits, distance is no barrier
to closer ties. The United States understands that differences
developed over many decades are real and cannot be eliminated
overnight. We must be pragmatic and recognize that the road to
fully normal relations remains uphill.

But America’s symbol is the eagle, a bird that soars. And Korea’s
pride is its mountains, which scrape the sky. There is no
obstacle we cannot overcome if we make the strategic decision to
do so together.

Mr. Chairman, Mr. Vice Marshal, and our other distinguished
hosts, on behalf of my delegation, I want to thank you again for
your hospitality.

I look forward to tomorrow’s meetings and events. And I invite
you to join me in a toast to the health of the people of the
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and to the growth of
friendship between you and the people of the United States.

AND JUST IN CASE YOU FORGOT, IT DIDN’T TURN OUT WELL: N. Korean Nuclear Conflict Has Deep Roots

If McCain is the bad ass Russian, and Hillary is Rocky, I guess that means Obama is Adrian. Right?

A ComeBack? I Hope Not…I want McCain to go against the Eurpoean-like quasi-socialist. Count it.

McCain to Obama: I Must Break You

One good way to decide the next president: A Good Old Fashioned brawl. I got $50 on a McCain knockout.
Editor’s Note: The odds on Obama crying at least once (before and after) the fight are also very high…7 to 2, the last time I checked.

McCain on Wednesday:
“I have the knowledge and the experience and the judgment to lead this nation,” McCain said. “My opponent does not.”
“I admire and respect Sen. Obama. For a young man with very little experience, he’s done very well. I appreciate his very great lack of experience and knowledge of the issues. He’s been very successful.”

Translation: Back off you young wipper-snapper. You are a B.S. artist who has snowed the media and the left in this country, but not me. Oh and you make stuff up too.

(Playing the part of the bad ass Russian: John McCain. And playing the part of Adrian Balboa: Barack Obama…But who plays Rocky? I wonder.)

Dreams From My Father: Audio By Barack

Here’s a link of radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt and columnist of the world Mark Steyn, playing clips from the audio version of Dreams from my Father, and discussing the more interesting aspects of Obama’s first book. Barack reads it himself in the audio version, so it’s pretty interesting.

The bets part is when they discuss the first ever Rev. Wright sermon that Barack heard, called “White Man’s Greed” (You can read more about this sermon at Slate, here)

Obama and Clinton: A study in Journailism

As a former Journalism major and government reporter, I have to say, the reporting that Politico did on the Democrats debate is some of the best reporting (honest and fair) that I’ve seen in a while. This is how we were taught to do it, folks. Kudos.

This is why outfits like the Politico and Real Clear Politics are overtaking old-media like the New York Times and CBS News.

A New Day in Journalism? I hope so.

Are You a Bitter American?

For all you “bitter” Americans out their clinging to your guns, religion or anti-immigrant sentiment. Take a look at the following.
